Descriptions of Children's Ministries Institute courses offered on CMI Online

Select courses currently offered on campus at the Children's Ministries Institute® are available online. Each online course will be eight to twelve weeks in length and will promote weekly interaction between students and instructors. Courses can be applied toward Children's Ministries Institute's Certificate and Diploma programs.

Class size will be limited to twenty-two students, and each class will be assigned to an online instructor. Any course with fewer than five students enrolled will be cancelled.

Course content includes video presentations that were recorded on campus at the Children's Ministries Institute. All courses will be asynchronous, meaning that students are not required to be online at specified times during the course. Interaction with other students through forum discussions and assignment completion can take place at a time that best fits the student's schedule, as long as assignment deadlines are met.

Students can expect to spend 10-12 hours each week viewing course presentations, interacting with other students and completing course assignments. If you are a very detailed person or you spend additional time interacting online other than the time required, you could spend more than 12 hours completing coursework.
